Engaging lostness.
Equipping believers.
Empowering partners.

First Baptist Church has a great and long history of pioneering church planting, leading, and establishing compassion and relief efforts throughout Saline County. First Baptist continues to be one of the leading prayer and financial supporters of the Southern Baptist Convention through the Cooperative Program, which exponentially expands the reach of the Gospel both domestically and internationally. FBC desires to engage lostness, equip believers, and empower partners, resulting in the lost becoming saved, disciples being made and multiplied in Central Arkansas and around the world, and lives and communities being transformed by the power of the Gospel. The local and global missions (GO - Global Outreach) serve as the tip of the spear for our Kingdom-advancing congregation.

We believe that we can most effectively influence our world spiritually by working through denominational cooperation and global partnerships. Partnerships are one of the most strategic elements of our missions philosophy and praxis. We develop and maintain these three types of partnerships.

Local

Like-minded agencies and organizations providing for the tangible needs of many in Saline County with the goal of personal and community reconciliation, restoration, and transformation of our city and county.

Global

Kingdom-advancing church plants, missionaries, and sending organizations who mobilize believers to engage lostness, multiply leaders and churches, and seek personal and cultural transformation.

Cooperative

Cooperation with other Southern Baptist churches through giving to the Cooperative Program to support domestic & international missions, compassionate relief efforts, and many other Kingdom-advancing initiatives.

Acts 1:8

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"
