Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions

Lottie Moon served for almost four decades as a missionary to China in the late 1800s. She wrote many letters home urging Southern Baptists to greater missions involvement and support, and was instrumental in triggering the first Christmas offering. This offering was later given her name by the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU). Every penny of the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering goes directly to the IMB and is used to support the personnel and strategies of workers all across the globe. This offering is collected in November and December.

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions

In 1895, an offering was first collected for the work of the Home Missions Board. In 1934, this offering was renamed the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for Home Missions to honor the work of Annie Armstrong as a tireless advocate for giving, praying, and going to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those who did not know him.  Today, the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering goes to train, resource, and send more than 2,400 missionary families across the United States and Canada. This offering is collected in March and April.
